The Canadian League of Gamers has unveiled the first batch of invites for the Northern Arena Canadian eSports Championship event in Toronto. From September 1-4, the Metro Toronto Convention will stage the first of two Northern Arena events that will be held until the end of the year, each one featuring a Counter-Strike tournament with $100,000 in prize money. CLG, Selfless, Immortals and Splyce are the first four teams confirmed by the Canadian League of Gamers, with ten more invites to be determined.
Joining these 14 invitees will be ACE Gaming and Synthetik, the top two teams of the Call of the North online qualifiers, which took place last week. This means that the list of participants for the tournament currently consists of:
