Alex "ALEX" McMeekin's men take home their second trophy in less than a week. fnatic claimed the trophy at REPUBLEAGUE TIPOS Season 2 after defeating Eternal Fire 2-1. Özgür "woxic" Eker and co. were the only ones to steal a map from fnatic as the British-Swedish mix went undefeated against SAW, Copenhagen Flames and GODSENT. Meanwhile, Eternal Fire came through the play-in stage and faced a 19-map odyssey before the final. The Turks finished second in their group before stumbling through the double-elimination bracket ahead of their campaign in the main stage. After reaching the playoffs Eternal Fire upset Virtus.pro in the round if 16 before dispatching ECSTATIC and winning a rematch against Entropiq in the semi-finals. ![]() The defeated parties of the semi-finals faced off on Friday for a third-place decider to determine prize pool distribution. GODSENT started the series well on Dust2 but a fantastic offense from Entropiq in the second half saw the Russians take the map 16-11 after a masterful performance by Aleksei "El1an" Gusev. Ancient was even more one-sided. Despite the Brazilians briefly holding a 6-5 lead they were unable to build a lasting advantage in the first half of play. Igor "Forester" Bezotecheskiy locked down the B bombsite, leaving GODSENT with very few options of attack as Entropiq secured Ancient 16-8 and the series 2-0. Eternal Fire came into Vertigo as the heavy underdogs but thanks to the heroics of Ismailcan "XANTARES" Dörtkardeş and Ömer "imoRR" Karataş they edged the T side 8-7 as fnatic were not looking completely comfortable on B. A brief lead was recovered by the British-Swedish mix on the offensive but a renaissance from woxic and Buğra "Calyx" Arkın quickly stopped fnatic in their tracks. The Turkish squad strung together five in a row to close their map pick 16-13. Inferno was a straightforward affair as fnatic took no prisoners on their T side, bullying the Turkish defense on their way to a 14-1 half. Eternal Fire winning the second pistol round was just the silver lining of a very dark cloud as fnatic responded with a force buy win before closing the affair 16-2. fnatic were once again in control of the series on Overpass as William "mezii" Merriman carried his spectacular form over from Inferno. The Turkish roster was only able to steal the odd round on the defense without gaining any lasting advantage as they trailed 5-10 at halftime. After switching sides to the CT side fnatic only dropped two rounds, closing the map 16-7 and the series 2-1. REPUBLEAGUE TIPOS Season 2Best of 3![]() ![]() ![]()
